We’re CaneCutters – your friendly neighbourhood bar

Nestled at the Punt Road end of Toorak Road, we're right on the edge of South Yarra, just past the buzz of the restaurants and wine bars. You’ll find us pouring beers, serving sangas, and holding down a small but lively corner of the community.

CaneCutters is built around the idea of the classic local – a place that’s easy to drop into solo, with your dog, with a date, or with your crew. It’s casual, welcoming, and always well stocked.

What we offer:

• Booze
  A tightly curated selection – quality-driven, nostalgic when it counts, and always with something for everyone. We work with a handful of excellent breweries and suppliers we trust.

• Kitchen
  We do proper sangas, the classics done right, with a menu designed to pair perfectly with your drink, not distract from it.

• Courtyard
  Under-cover, dog-friendly, and heated. Your mate’s dog is also welcome.

• Pool Room
  A full-size 8-ball pub table, comfy lounge area, and a locals’ comp night where reputations are made and broken.

• Public Bar
  Nine coveted stools around a beautiful, hand-crafted bar made from recycled timber by our mate Carlos. We pour draught beer in traditional dimple mugs and 7oz glasses. Plus, “we hear” a decent pint of Guinness.
